Everyone dreams of having a time machine since childhood. As the British science fiction writer H.G. Wells said, 'We all have our time machines. Those that take us back are our memories, and those that bring us forward are our dreams.'

Sometimes, we get lost in our 'time travels'. As Einstein pointed out, 'The distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.'

As music lovers, we often find inspiration in music during our struggles. Nietzsche once said, 'Without music, life would be a mistake; it is the bridge across time.' Similarly, Bach also expressed, 'Music is an outburst of the soul; it transcends time and makes it possible for us to experience the past, present, and future all at once.'

In the first performance of 2026, the 'Lost in Time' concert will feature HKPW and the Youth Band performing classic time-travel-themed film scores and other wind band works inspired by the exploration of time. The audience is invited to experience the lost time through music, repair our time machine, and rediscover the joy of time travel.
